The state of NSW is one of the most culturally diverse states in Australia. To
assist communities who do not have English as their first language,
the Ambulance Service of NSW has produced several publications in other
languages for free download – Arabic, Chinese, Italian, Greek
and Vietnamese.
Translating and Interpreting Service
Helping you communicate when a paramedic attends your home or the
location of a medical emergency. Simply call the Translating & Interpreting Service (TIS) to be assisted by an interpreter over the phone –
it’s a free call 131 450.

'Life... Live It Save It!'
A free education program for senior members of the community providing important information on how to recognise signs and symptoms of potential medical emergencies, questions asked when calling Triple Zero (000) for an ambulance and the basic techniques of CPR.
The program only takes one hour to complete and there are no exams or tests. It is a self-learning program designed to be facilitated by community members in a group environment.
