We are unique from any other ambulance service as our front line staff have the opportunity to specialise into diverse areas such as special casualty access team, aeromedical services, snow operations, rapid response, counter disaster and patient transport service. We also have a fully accredited Ambulance Education Centre as well as regional training units that deliver in-service training, online learning courses and clinical support programs which include workshops and clinical assistance.

Of the 3,778 staff employed within Ambulance, 89.97 per cent are uniformed Paramedics. The remaining employees are predominantly corporate administration staff working in areas such as policy development, human resources, payroll, administrative support, automotive repairs and stores.
